Idiot troller is back: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1569223/Keliaiah

This time he's copy-pasted the profile and nearly copied the username of someone I know, and is going around posting extremely obscene reviews on sections mostly read by kids. Grr.

Can we all report him again for plagiarism and obscenity? Somehow?

Meanwhile, in order to take care of the damage he's already done, I'd like to plug this again: http://www.fanfiction.net/topic/2872/6030605/1/

It's a petition for the ability to delete signed reviews, since the Pit mods were assheaded enough to give us the option to report obscene reviews and then proceeded to do precisely nothing when we do.

Are there any other places I can report this and spread the word?

10:45 pm - Attempting to distract self from raging ear infection, will fill in meme.
Rules of the Game:

A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.

B) Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.

C) ENJOY?

I was tagged by [info]manx_n_shadow. I hereby tag [info]nikkizorra, [info]makhsihed, [info]m_a_foxfire, [info]red_in_leather, [info]cassie5squared, [info]dreya_uberwald, [info]chibi_murasala, and [info]ansela_jonla.

Just written and posted my first genuine rapefic on my ff.net page. One which showed that I don't really think it's funny, whatever the Redneck Trees scenario in one of my old PPC missions may have led people to believe.

I am very freaked out because this is kind of outside my comfort zone (shouldn't be - see aforementioned Redneck Trees scenario - but sometimes it works that way), and I'll be too scared to look at the reviews.

Now I'm getting a craving to go and write something cute and fluffy to make up for it. Sadly my ear infection has come back, so I'm having difficulty thinking straight enough to write anything much. Ah well, will draw kittens or something.

Just realised I never got round to doing this meme from [info]dracorn_adagio. This shall hereby be remedied.

1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post that to your journal with these instructions.

[info]dracorn_adagio gave me F.

1. "Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head" - Gorillaz.
2. "Four Green Fields" - traditional Irish (as far as I know).
3. "Frogs and Princes" - Natasha Bedingfield.
4. "Fairytale of New York" - the Pogues.
5. "For My Lover" - Tracy Chapman.

8:33 pm - PPC: Non-Mission Interlude
Juse tying up some loose ends, finally introducing the kiddies by name, providing some character interaction, and leading into potential future thingies. Rated PG. Agents belong to their respective owners, and nothing is actually being sporked this time (yay!)

Hope you like. )

Because I am bored, I shall make little avatar dolls of anthro versions of my pet ferrets.

Here's Jinx, whose photo I sadly still haven't uploaded - sorry, second child syndrome.

And here's Murphy.

Cute, no?

Scroll down a little and find the Ferretcam. What it shows is a mother and baby black-footed ferret. They're among the world's most endangered mammals (I think they were down to about twenty breeding specimens in total at one point) so we've all gotta root for the kit. *touch wood* Here's to hoping s/he grows up healthy and preferably extremely fertile. Can't have too many things this cute in the world.

(I maintain that there is no such thing as an un-cute mustelid. Even wolverines are floofy.)

Must plug new comm: [info]lol_typo. I already posted one from a Chaser Wolf masterwork (in which Skipper claims that a certain part of his anatomy is, I quote, "larger than most otters" - which might be the worst possible place to miss out an apostrophe).

Now must go to bed. Exams still going. Why do I force myself to stay awake longer when I'm stressed?

8:54 pm - Random musings.
Does anyone else find themselves writing poetry in their sleep and completely forgetting it when they wake up? It's happened to me several times, and it's really annoying because, at least within the dream, the poems I write in dreams are better than any I can write when I'm awake. Weird.

On a very vaguely similar topic; back when I was severely depressed a couple of years back I started suffering from intrusive imagery. (Look it up, it's common to OCD and occurs occasionally with depression.) Is it weird that I found it comforting to pretend the bad mental images were the products of someone in an alternate dimension writing really bad fanfic about me? One would think that would be more disturbing than the intrusive imagery, but at least if someone's writing badfic about you that must mean they like you enough to try to write fanfic about you ...

Am currently awake with raging ear infection. Have been up since 3:30. Need to spend tomorrow revising for huge pile of exams, can neither revise nor sleep because I feel as if my right ear is pregnant. No, seriously, it feels like I'm about to produce a chest-burster from my ear. Aspirin doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. Gah. Hate life.

Oh, these are cool: http://www.designsbydorian.com/

Funny wedding cake toppers. I really like the Gothic Bats. If I do ever get married, I gotta do it at Halloween just so I can have one of these. (Well, I already fantasised about being married in the grounds of Whitby Abbey because I love the original Dracula novel ...)

Since she has all the little "animal couples" figurines, I can't help but wonder if the designer knows that her peacocks are both male, though. They're not in the "animal couples" section, but one can't help but think ...

6:38 pm - Meme filched from manx-n-shadow, among others.
Make a list of 15 characters and assign each character a number.

Without telling anyone who's on the list or the character's assigned number, get questions from your flist about what they'd like to know about them, i.e. "If 3 and 4 were trapped in a cave together with only a blanket and a toothpick, what would they do?"

Post the list of characters and answers to the questions.

I has list. You has kwestions?

11:20 pm - Allow me to plug this site: "Etiquette Hell".
http://www.etiquettehell.com/

If I hadn't been planning to never, ever get married before I saw this thing ... But it's so very funny. A few teeny samples (copyright their original posters, I'm just showing snippets for advertising purposes):

"[Father of the bride]'s speech began like this: “Four months ago, the two of you came to me and announced that you were going to get married and I told you why it was a bad idea then...” and he proceeded to spend the next twenty-five minutes telling them (and everyone present) again."

"The salesperson ... told my sister and mother that my sister should come back for three fittings. The last of which should be no sooner than one week before the wedding. My mother was confused and thought that one week before the wedding was a little too close to the wedding date to assure that alterations were complete. (Now keep in mind that they went looking for bridesmaids' dresses not a gown for my sister.) The salesperson responded quite matter-of-factly that they require the one week since of course my sister will be pregnant by then!"

"I should have listened to my beloved when he warned me that I ought to actually select a specific dress for [his mother] . . . she showed up in HER wedding gown, with veil!"

And so on. I could spend days on this site ^_^ Other people's misfortunes shouldn't be as funny as they are ...

12:17 pm - Meant to mention this earlier ...
Have made entries for S&S, the kids and Laburnum on the PPC Wiki:
http://ppcwiki.wikilot.com/wiki/Stormsong
http://ppcwiki.wikilot.com/wiki/Skyfire
http://ppcwiki.wikilot.com/wiki/Laburnum
http://ppcwiki.wikilot.com/wiki/Molly_Rath
http://ppcwiki.wikilot.com/wiki/Moses_Taggson

(I put a note in S&S's profiles saying that it's okay to mention their names in PPC stuff if they credit [info]makhsihed rather than me but not to actually feature them without asking her. I hope she thinks that's reasonable. Hey, free advertising.)

Still haven't got round to doing Foxglove, though. Must do that some time. And call the kids by their names onscreen in a fic, I keep forgetting to do that.

And with much appreciation to JulyFlame, who voted Stormsong the Featured Agent of the Week! The weasel will be very flattered, and so will his original author.

Also drew a few members of the Anthropomorphic Agents Association: http://chelonianmobile.deviantart.com/art/The-Anthro-Agents-Association-87303159 I'm not entirely sure what the AAA does, but we figured there should be one.

EDIT: Oh, and another PPC pic, done in desperate attempt to avoid working: http://chelonianmobile.deviantart.com/art/Meeting-Mother-87374993

EDIT 2, ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: Ah, apparently it was [info]guil_solo who nominated him, [info]julyflame just edited the page. Sorry. But still cool.

In desperate attempt to ignore having to revise for exams, am watching Meet the Feebles on YouTube: http://uk.youtube.com/user/Klutzfilmstudent

God, it really is as disturbing as everyone says. This is actually quite a relief - I'm not yet so warped that I wasn't faintly shocked by the images of puppet!sex and the bit where Bletch and Trevor drive a car straight through the whale's digestive tract ... "Garden of Love" is a surprisingly nice song, though.

Must make references to it in the OFUR somehow. Perhaps a very drunk Drake or Redd or possibly Foxglove (it's the type of thing she'd do) can perform Sebastian's big musical number, much to the horror of everyone present.

9:45 pm - Last-but-one That Series mission! Cowritten with kitsune106, a.k.a. "Mister Kit" of OFUR.
Rated R, as usual. The fic is copyright its original owner, who is welcome to it. Drake and Naomi belong to [info]kitsune106, Stormsong and Skyfire to [info]makhsihed, Luxury was from the Original Series of the PPC, and the briefly-mentioned kids belong to me but are free for any PPCer to refer to if they wish. (I have to use their new names onscreen soon, though, it’s just hard to find a place to introduce them properly …)

9:45 pm - Prom!
Well, I can't really think of any way to put the experience into words. Hence why I've left it over a week after the event to try ...

But anyway, I shall attempt to, with a Top Ten List Of Things I Learned At The School Ball.

1) I don't actually hate these parties. I was fully expecting to, but it was actually really fun. Shame I only get the one. Maybe I should be a teacher so I can do this every year.

2) Just because the dress was expensive does not mean it will be possible to walk normally in it. It also does not mean that the tensile strength of the straps is infinite, but luckily since I had an asymmetrical dress anyway nobody noticed, and it's nothing that can't be repaired.

3) The above point doesn't matter, because I looked damn good. This was the first non-Halloween-outfit dress I've willingly worn since the age of eight, so it felt pretty weird, and it got in the way somewhat when I walked, but who cares?

4) I was smart to eat dinner before I came. That food was revolting. Though I did get to taste what I think was a kumquat. I don't recommend them, though - imagine a really bitter grape-orange hybrid.

5) I do in fact like coffee, but only if it has at least six sugar cubes per cup, thus rendering it less coffee than syrup.

6) The above coffee-syrup hybrid is not suitable for rehydration after strenuous dancing. Gah.

7) I dance like a Muppet, but so does everyone else in my school year group. I also have a lot more stamina than I thought for said dancing. Though I had an unfair advantage because I was wearing flat shoes.

8) My worst enemy may actually be a person. (Some boy who verbally sexually harassed me on the school bus for two years running. I did finally get him kicked off it last year. I saw him there, and his expression made the whole evening. I bought him a drink - I still loathe him, but we're never going to see each other again and at least I can let it be known that I tried to end it on civil terms, and he at least accepted politely.)

9) I can in fact be the first on the dancefloor. (The after-party was at a club, everyone went straight to the bar, but I don't like most alcoholic stuff and a good song was playing.) This backfired somewhat because four guys I'd never met in my life then came up and all started trying to grind-dance with me at once. This is less fun than it sounds, but I managed to get out of the way, and I'm pretty certain they didn't mean to make me uncomfortable in any way - everyone else was doing the same. Still pretty freaky at the time, but whaddya gonna do.

10) If I can handle prom, exams should make me less worried than they do. Why does my school have the final exams AFTER the prom anyway?

10:28 pm - That Series Tsuemina: Rewrite!
I know I should be posting about my prom that was last weekend, but I'm too dazed from work to write up a coherent account. I shall stick to posting the rewritten mission. The need for the rewrite is explained adequately here: http://chelonianmobile.livejournal.com/43678.html

Rated R for the usual reasons, you know who owns everything (if you don't, it's mostly [info]oakleaf18, who wrote everything you don't recognise from the original copy). Hope you like.
~~~
I shall dispense with the obvious pun in the summary this time. )
~~~

My goodness, rewrites really do look much better. Maybe one day I'll get up the inclination to redraft the lot, maybe then I'll actually be able to make the Slagar one funny ... it'll be years, though. I'm currently busy with exams, and in my spare time I'm helping with the last-but one TS mission, in which S&S assist Agents Drake and Naomi (found at [info]kitsune106). Watch this space.

Trolls on the Pit again: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1569278/BUTTER_BASED_LIFE_FORM
http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1569223/Kovu_Ws

Would appreciate some help reporting them a few times.

The second one has been sending obscene reviews around as well. I think I'll MST one next weekend.

EDIT: And he's hacked into the account of another user:
http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1569279/Whorepaths_Griffin

EDIT AGAIN: Ah, apparently it's not a hack, it's just a ripped copy. Still needs reporting.

I think the time for peaceful protest has passed. Does anyone here know anything about hacking? If we can find out what ISP address these things are coming from, we could stop them at the source ...

If we can't do that, the only thing to do is report every single one of each username's posts individually. If several people do that, the mods might actually get their skulls out of their respective recta long enough to notice.

Anyone else have any ideas?

EDIT 3: Ooh, petition for the ability to delete signed reviews!: http://www.fanfiction.net/topic/2872/6030605/1/#6149826

I hereby ask that everyone here who has a Pit account sign this. Please?
